Grant Update I haven't posted any Grant photos since New Year's Day, so I thought I'd take this opportunity to share how he is growing!
Grandpa and I got to babysit a couple times last week and, while Grant hasn't changed too much in appearance in the last few weeks, he certainly has changed! He's always liked to move his feet and hands, but now he jumps - and jumps and jumps and jumps. The Exer-Saucer he received from his Oma and Opa for Christmas is really getting a workout. He loves that thing!
He's also eating more solid food and he seems to like it. Note the carrots and bananas on his face. :)Last night he sat at the table with us during supper. And, of course, Grandma had her camera ready. :) He's still "Cracker Jack, the pass-around pack." We all enjoy holding him and he never seems to mind being passed back and forth.
At 5 1/2 months, Grant is still a joy! I kind of suspect he will always be a joy to me - just like his dad and his aunt!
Life is definitely good!

Nancy's Art DisplayYesterday, I went to the public library in Shepherdsville, KY, to view my sister's art display.
It was difficult to photograph the pictures so you might have some idea what was on display. So, I did the best I could.
This is my sister, Nancy.
Obviously, she inherited our mother's talent. She does a beautiful job and really enjoys her hobby. She is using her retirement time wisely. I, on the other hand, can barely write my name legibly - there is no way I would attempt to paint! But, that's okay - I don't think I could fit it into my busy schedule anyway. :)
If you get to Shepherdsville before the end of January, stop in to see her work in person. If not, visit her blog - she occasionally posts photos of her newest paintings. Enjoy!

Off to a Good Start

Our new year began with the traditional family dinner of pork and sauerkraut. Dad cooked two pork tenderloin and peeled 10 lbs. of potatoes in preparation for our feast. All the locals were able to be here at one time - a rare moment, indeed! We all had a fabulous time and went away stuffed and ready for 2008!
Happy New Year to us all!

[And, remember Grandpa in your prayers as he faces the possibility of surgery in the near future.]
