The trip was blessedly uneventful. North Carolina is a beautiful state to drive through. Passed through a couple tunnels - first the tunnel, then the light at the end of the "proverbial" tunnel. Pretty neat, huh? Too bad it hadn't rained before I took those pictures - the bird doo on the window is a nice touch, don't you agree??
