The Tide Is Still Red . . .

. . . so we took a ride to Seaside today. (Note the mailman standing in front of the post office - not working! :)

After a stop to buy shrimp for tonight, we returned to Dad's where Gary cleaned said shrimp.

Next we went to Books-a-Million, because what is a vacation without a trip to the bookstore?? From there, we went down to the marina where we ate a lunch of carryout McDonald's (because we waited too long to decide where to eat) and did a bit of reading in the beautiful, breezy sunshine - without wheezing, coughing and sneezing. Too bad we had to ride so far to find a sneeze-free zone, but one does what one has to, I suppose.

This is the view from Dad's window. Notice how the palm trees have been trimmed up - hence, fewer picturesque fronds for the photographs. But, the trimmed trees make for a much better view of the water from the room. And, since that is a close as we seem to be able to get to the beach, we appreciate the beautiful view!

And, finally, the perfect sunset. Then, off to Pineapple Willie's for supper.

And, on the homefront - Grant has had a stomach bug and Whitney took him back to the doctor to make sure he wasn't suffering from dehydration. The doctor said that his illness was going to have to run its course and Grant would be fine. On the upside, he was weighed again this week and he weighed in at a whopping 13 lbs. 8 oz. Way to go Grant!
