Day 2 (continued)
Don't Give Up the Ship In 1813, Commodore Perry won the Battle of Lake Erie aboard the Brig Niagara. He was from Rhode Island and the famous (or infamous) battle was fought near Sandusky, Ohio, but evidently OHP is the best thing to happen to Erie. He is commemorated with a monument erected at Misery Bay, the temporary home of his fleet during the War of 1812.

The geese love the Perry Monument and Misery Bay. Watch where you step!
The Lady Kate was leaving on a sightseeing excursion. That looked like fun, but I didn't have the time to do that - I needed to get back and pick up Dad from his reunion! :)
Stay tuned . . . .
