Memory Lane - The End of Day 2
After Dad's reunion, we rode out to Harborcreek to see where Grandma and Grandpa Hewitt used to live. Well, we already knew that their place was no longer there, but we rode down Villa Sites anyway. Their trailer is long gone and a house has been built on the lot. The current owners do not keep the place nearly as neat as Grandma and Grandpa did.
We rode out past Grandma's church - where her funeral was - and then back in Buffalo Road to Erie. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of Harborcreek. Since Grandma and Grandpa's trailer was no longer there, there wasn't much to photograph!
Oh, look! Another glimpse of Hamot Hospital. We took the Bayfront Parkway to get to Jim's, giving me a perfect opportunity to photograph Erie's finest hospital! :)After a couple hours visiting with Jim and Rachelle, they took us to watch the sunset over Lake Erie. It's not the ocean, but it is still beautiful!
As the sun set, we said our good-byes and headed back to Erie to get a late supper. We ended up at the Eat 'n Park on Peach Street, where I had a bowl of chili that was jam-packed with beans. Gary would have loved it! It was good, but I'm not as much of a bean eater as Gary.
Day 2 has come to a close. Coming up - Day 3.

Fun! Love that sunset :-)
What happened to Jim's hair?
That sunset was lovely. Maybe Dad would like a painting of that.
St. Vincent's is STILL the premier medical center in Erie.
Funny, I always thought Grandpa was 56 when he died. Goes to show what I know, I guess--except about St. Vincent's!
